Two Fools on the Road to Emmaus Podcast – Sometimes it’s easy in our “super-star” Christian culture to use the gifts we have been given as a kind of currency, which we use to garner position and prestige within the body of Christ. Through the exercising and withholding of our gifts we manage our ascent up the hierarchical ”totem pole”. Is this what the gifts were given for? Is it really a competition? Something to be parlayed into power over the very people we are called to serve? How do we empower people within our communities to share their gifts and do the things they feel genuinely called to do which don’t serve our vision?
