Qoutable Pearls: Discipline |

Godly discipline that is useful is this: A passionate fidelity to love in our thoughts and actions, in our pursuit and desire of God, that flows from a heart subverted by the kingdom, and kissed by the Spirit.
Counter-productive religious discipline is this: A fidelity to fear and guilt in our thoughts and actions, in our pursuit and desire of God, that flows from a heart subverted by insecurity, and marooned in self-preservation.
